The following graph shows population growth through time for the Patuxent River Watershed. Population values for 1790-1997 were taken from the U.S. Census of Population. Values for 2000-2020 are estimated figures based on the rate of increase between 1990 and 1997. Values for 1625-1780 are also estimated based on population values for the state of Maryland and anecdotal sources of population change.
